    Looking to learn

    New to vcds and uploaded an auto scan and was asked to load as - Please post the OBD2 data in VCDS MODES 1,3,7 & 9........
    Don't know what that means. How can I find out. I do want to learn all I can, Thanks

    I would suppose Jack asked you for that?

    On the main screen in VCDS, click the OBD-II button. That will take you to a screen that looks like the one on this page:
    https://www.ross-tech.com/vcds/tour/obd-2.php

    I would suppose he wants the data from Mode 1-01 Readiness, Mode 3 Current DTCs, Mode 7 Pending DTCs, and Mode 9 Vehicle Info.

    Just click the respective buttons and then click the [Save] button on each of those screens. The data will all end up in a plain-text log file that you can paste here.
