Hello,

I'm wondering if I can use VCDS to enable High beams when lights are off?

If so which version do I need? I only wanna mod one car, my car.

For example...

If lights are off on AUDI B8.5 I can still use high beams to flash or even drive with them but I gotta hold the handle - I wanna make it so I can use high beans without holding handle. Also when holding the handle for awhile the car would turn light off and I'd have to release the handle and pull it and hold it again.

Basically I want to be able to have car with all lights off on back end and high beams on front at night (with exception of signals and brake lights ofc).

I am skeptical that this can be done.

[09 – Cent. Elect.]
[Coding - 07] -> [Long Coding Helper] -> Byte 4
Bit 5 - Change 0 to 1

Having no rear sidelights at night doesn't sound safe to me - other cars won't see you until you are within range of their headlights (and would be illegal in the EU).

Ok, I'll ask the question.

Why on earth would you want to do this?

Planning on being a getaway driver for a night heist?

Ehhh, I wouldn't pick my loaded B8.5 for that. But it would be fun on midnight car meets etc...

:rolleyes:

It's just funny... I'm also programmer myself so I know it must be one boolean and one timer to "fix" my issue. Pretty sure they left stuff like that toggle-able, if nothing else for police/"secret service" cars. Oh well..
