Thanks to both of you for the files. Your issues are similar but I'll break this down into two replies:

    4WDDSG6,

Because 01-Engine module doesn't provide a VIN number, combined with the changes in our current Release, this #10 retrofit behavior with a Legacy interface is expected.

As a work around, you can use the Auto-Scan function first which will load a chassis type and then allow a ROD to load for address 10. In the meanwhile I'll see if we can patch this using a ASAM/ODX Override for retrofits to the label file in a future version.

    Eddie,

The Bench/Test stand combined with a Legacy interface is causing the #17 problem. Based on our Bench testing both the HEX-V2 and the HEX-NET load RODs properly even when mixing a wide variety of control modules including 01-Enghine controllers without VINs.

Moving forward, installing a pre-2019 VIN 01-Engine module onto your Bench should resolve your issues with the Legacy interface. If your friend is also using a Bench/Test stand the same suggestion may apply but we could take a look at his setup and scan to be sure.

In conclusion, although current interfaces would resolve both of the issues in this thread ... you may not want to upgrade for this concern alone. We certainly didn't intend on breaking any Legacy interface functionality however we needed to implement the latest VCDS functions which were in Beta.

So you tell for now it is not any cure , and I have to wait in the future , when you provide new release ?

You have a rather unusual situation with the behavior of your car and this retrofit module. If it's really that much of a problem for you to have to do an auto-scan before accessing that module, then there are two immediate solutions possible: 1) Use the previous version 18.9, or 2) Upgrade to a current interface.

    -Uwe-
The engineering problems are likely insurmountable. It would be like proposing to land a rocket booster section on a barge floating in the middle of the ocean.

ok then , as I understand the cure is to pay another 800 euros to have current interface

so the users of hex can cables have no rights or must stop using them

    nice solution congrats
