Hello members!

I have a 2009 VW Touran, and one guy retrofited 2011 dashboard. Don't know much details about what he did, but everything works exept for CNG gauge, range/consumption display. Also car does not run on CNG after this retrofit. Btw gasoline gauge works well.

My question is: maybe anyone did something similar? And maybe anyone has wiring diagrams for 2009 vw Touran 1.4 CNG, and for 2011 same car? Old dashboard has 1 more wire than new one. (The guy that retroffited dash had an adapter for newer dashboard)

If by "dashboard" you mean the instrument cluster, then yes - this MY2010 should have instrument cluster 1T0920874F. I suspect the adapter from old instrument cluster connector to new blue connector is usually used with gas/diesel vehicles and may be missing something used by the CNG system. If you are enterprising, you can add this wire yourself. But this even may not be the case as there also may be other differences. You can buy a short-term subscription to ErWin and get the schematics to your car and newer model.

Since the CNG pressure is read by the ECU and most probably transmitted to the instrument cluster via CAN, your ECU software level might also be too old for the newer clocks. SW 6582 (instead of 4851) is available for your ECU. This is only a guess.

Tried to update ecu software with SW6582, but no luck. Big thanks to golfi_vend, who suggested to update SW from other part number ( was 021D, updated to 021P), without changing hardware. Now everything works as it should.
