    2004 Audi A4 cluster adaptation

Is it possible to adapt new cluster for this car with vcds? I don't see procedure in the wiki.
Tried as immo3 cluster but that does not work.
    It is RB4 cluster

That is not a new cluster it is a used cluster & with a different identity.

I could help you with a data transfer, provided you supply the needed controllers, all keys and proof of purchase with ownership credentials.

    It is an Immo-3 cluster.
Are you certain both PINs are correct?
Is the key in the ignition matched to the old cluster and ECU?

    -Uwe-
The engineering problems are likely insurmountable. It would be like proposing to land a rocket booster section on a barge floating in the middle of the ocean.

It is a very common issue for incorrect pirated Chinese tools to corrupt the ability to do an 050 in RB type cluster due to protection Electronic Counter Measures by "ECM" in cluster for tampering.

Used but virginised so for purposes of programming it's like brand new.
If original cluster was available i wouldn't be here, transferring data is easy

    -Uwe-
So it should program just like any other immo3 cluster? Just wasn't sure about that part because every time I did one of these original cluster was available to just transfer immo data from it.
Anything is possible but codes should be correct, read them with couple different tools to confirm.
Car is theft recovery from an auction and a lot of parts were missing along with the key, so it's a new blank key. Could that be a problem? But I'm pretty sure with immo3 that shouldn't matter as long the pins are correct

Yes, it sounds like that's the problem. With Immo-3 you can match one thing (key, cluster, or ECU) if the other two are already match, but you don't have that at the moment. I'm not sure what the solution is here.

Manual Transfer only , which can not be done only with VCDS. But even if he has original key , used cluster at this car can not be adopted with VCDS, unless you set it to Factory 04 or 01 mode , even if you have both Pins.

Manual Transfer only , which can not be done only with VCDS. But even if he has original key , used cluster at this car can not be adopted with VCDS, unless you set it to Factory 04 or 01 mode , even if you have both Pins.
( Jack Please do not comment on this ,Please , I like to respect UWE form last discussion)
No Marin, the forum doesn't work like that.

Again if the proper security clearance is had and input, with a successful login, you can indeed set this in adaption in VCDS & to the "desired immobilizer status"! or if the cluster is in a new mode status as the OP stated or as OP aforementioned a new blank key transponder can be married and then an 050 can take place or manual data transfer can save used transponders or if you know what you are doing you can default the ID48 transponders with OEM tools or some aftermarket tools.

Now if the EEPROM is off from improper tools used, that must be fixed manually too!

Used but virginised so for purposes of programming it's like brand new.
If original cluster was available i wouldn't be here, transferring data is easy
    OP says it's virgin......

    OP says new blank key!

OP please post adaption data or immobilizer status in advanced measuring blocks......
