Hello. My first post here, so have mercy!
My kids share a Uk 2016 POLO 6C. It has Navigation & front/ rear park senors standard.
As it's mostly city driving I picked up a Reverse Camera kit. It included the camera & cabling but no coding information.
Connection is easy enough, 2 wires to Infotainment brains in the glovebox area and a few power connections.
Various Internet suggestions for activation RVC in related VW, but none identical to this car.
RVC appears in 2 places.
1) In the Park-Steer module Bit 4-5 has a drop down list with camera options. Selecting RVC makes no apparent difference.
2) In the Infotainment module Bit 4 is an option "RVC Low installed". If I select this I do get a reconfiguration of the Infotainment reverse screen but no image, and it only works for one "put into reverse" cycle, Then then a message "Park Assist unavailable". By deselecting the camera all returns to normal.
I have tried 1) & 2) individually & together and no difference in behaviour.
Behaviour is the same whether the camera is connected or not. I suspect the camera is not the issue but something else.
What thoughts please???
Thanks
Hugh
