VCDS mobile: Audi A2 3L (1.2 TDI)[8Z] wrong gear found by autoscan
Hi,
i buyed VCDS HEX.NET to configure my 3 Audi A2 3L and get infos about all the sickness that these cars would like to have
I´ve got problems by using VCDS mobile (like to use at the car by iPad or iPhone) NO Values, vs. VCDS (using in the home office), running fine and shows correct values.
my config (Sorry, it´s not possible to use a local file):
CB: 0.4437
FW: 0.254
CFB:0.10
BL: 0.28
DS: 60000055
The VCDS found regarding:
Autoscan VCDS DRV 18.9
Adresse 02: Getriebe Labeldatei: DRV\6N0-927-735.lbl
Teilenummer: 6N0 927 735 D
Bauteil: DS085 Getriebe 3081
Codierung: 00000
Betriebsnr.: WSC 00000
VCID: B93AA50AA1CE79825A-0964
otherwise:
Autoscan VCDSmobile:
Address 02: Auto Trans (J743) Labels: 0B-02.lbl
Part No SW: 0BT 300 011 S HW: 0BH 927 711 G

ROD: EV_TCMDQ500021_VW36.rod
VCID: 3E3FADFB36F63D836B6FACFBC7-806B
So, I think thats the problem that I´did´nt see the values under:
Select --> Common --> 02-Auto Trans --> Functions --> Advanced Measuring Values -->
selected:
Engine Load (via CAN) [loc 2-1]
Clutch Travel Sensor (G162) [loc 2-2]
Voltage (Terminal 15) [loc 2-3]
Coolant Temperature (G62) [loc 2-4
--> Submit there are no values !
The same should be happen to 025 Immobilizer
because the Shopnumber is 0,
(but if u select it under VCDS it´s refer to 017!)
U will find infos about the gear:
http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index...smission_(085)
I´ved updated the firmware of the HEX-NET, but that did´nt solved the problem.
Is there a kind of roadmap (pls give me a link) where i can see, when these dates will be included to VCDS mobile.
These dates are very urgend to give the 3L cars of Audi a chance to survife and make VCDS mobile great for using.
best regards

I'm a little bit confused here. The first 02 you posted looks like an old KW1281 module, and the second one you posted from VCDS-Mobile looks like a much newer UDS module. Are you having problems with both of these modules? These use different protocols, and measuring values in particular are different. The UDS module requires ASAM data, which needs to be downloaded for VCDS-Mobile either when prompted after doing an autoscan or by using VCIConfig to check for updates, after you have done an autoscan from mobile. Once you have the ASAM data, you should see a list of measuring values, but you will need to search for the values you want as they will be in different locations than with the older protocols.
You might want to read this: https://forums.ross-tech.com/showthr...UDS-Vs-non-UDS

I'm confused as well. A DS085 is nothing like a DQ500. They are completely different animals.

The engineering problems are likely insurmountable. It would be like proposing to land a rocket booster section on a barge floating in the middle of the ocean.

Hi,
oops, ash on my head!!
I repeated the measuring today and found following:
yesterday i put 12V to the board connector for supplying the car, but this doesnt run to the battery, she went down to 8V and VCDS mobile got much bullshit from the car, see the log.
Today i put a second battery parallel and powered the 12V charging direct to the batteries.
Now he found the right gear !!!!
But my problem exist:
Select --> Common --> 02-Auto Trans --> Functions --> Advanced Measuring Values -->
selected:
Engine Load (via CAN) [loc 2-1]
Clutch Travel Sensor (G162) [loc 2-2]
Voltage (Terminal 15) [loc 2-3]
Coolant Temperature (G62) [loc 2-4
--> Submit there are no values !

Could it be that the gear is not implementet to VCDS mobile?
Shop #: WSC 00000 000, normally i found there no 0´s, also the coding therefor an 0,
thinking the same happend at 08 Climatronic!
best regards, and sorry reg my mistake

I have confirmed the issue with VCDS-Mobile on our bench:

We'll have to let Shaun see what he can do.

Does the DS085 TCU use "Verfahren mit Vorgenschaltenten Parametern"?
IIRC, VCDS-Mobile does not support that (deprecated) method.

The engineering problems are likely insurmountable. It would be like proposing to land a rocket booster section on a barge floating in the middle of the ocean.

Confirmed; it does, and also confirmed, VCDS-Mobile does not support this method of reading measuring values. This method was supposed to have died (not been used for new control modules) in the mid 1990s. Future versions of VCDS-Mobile will have an explicit message indicating that the module uses a non-supported method.
However the full version of VCDS does support this method, so please use VCDS on a PC for it.

Hi,
not the answer i´m waiting for!
But it would be nice to get these info in the next version of VCDS mobile at the right position.
