07 Jetta ABS Module No Communication

2007 VW Jetta 2.5L

Issue:
Car has the following dash board lights on and the speedometer and odometer are not functional.
* ABS
* Flashing Brake Light
* EPC
* Power Steering
* Check Engine

Backstory: Vehicle registration expired so I had stopped driving the car until I could sort out the paperwork; about 2-months. During that time I had to start and move the car multiple times, but never gave the battery a chance to re-charge. The vehicle began to have trouble starting so I put an automatic trickle charger on the battery (while in the car). Once the battery was charged I began to experience these issues.

Trouble shooting performed:
* Battery tested at Advance Autoparts, CCA were within range
* Battery voltage at terminal, not running: ~12.5
* Battery voltage at terminal, running: ~14.5
* All fuses inspected in engine bay.
* All fuses inspected in left dash.

I read through this post on TDIClub with someone who had similar issues. I am assuming that the ABS module is bad on my car. I wanted to try to confirm this before starting to replace parts; or get pointed in the correct direction for troubleshooting.
I also have an older scan of the vehicle when even-thing was functional if necessary. Any help would be great, thanks in advance.

Your ABS is clearly off-line; neither the car's Gateway nor VCDS can talk to it.

To trouble-shoot this using a means other than just plugging in a different ABS, you're going to need wiring diagrams to check power(s), ground(s) and CAN bus connections at the ABS module's connector.

Thanks for the direction forward!

I borrowed a copy of the Bentley manual so I could test the connections on the harness, unfortunately it only had the pinout for the 47 pin connector and mine is the 26? pin connector. I compared the pictures of the two connectors and they are very similar. I was able to assume the power and ground were in the same location (larger blade style pins).
I was able to verify I had power power and ground.

I purchased a used abs module off of ebay and plugged it in. After clearing all the codes and re-testing, I am successfully able to talk to the abs module!

I am still assuming that the trickle charger damaged the original ABS module.

Now I have to tackle removing and installing the pump & module.

I doubt that. The only mechanism I can think of for a charger to damage a module is with excessive voltage, but I'd expect to have seen some "voltage too high" codes in other modules if that happened.
