P1127 & P0172 - Too Rich codes

Sorry to revive the older threads, but I am having the same issues again and thought I'd keep it all within my original thread. The scan is below. FYI, I had the CEL come on again the other day. I reset it and had to go on a 400 mile round trip this weekend. It came back on with about 150 miles to go. I ran the scan when I got home as well as the measuring blocks. the Lambda readings were coming up rather negative again. -13 to -17 range. FYI. over the past 8 or 9 months since this thread, I have used MMO and fuel cleaner twice to help keep the system clean. Anyway, I did a fuel rail pressure test. All numbers came back good. I checked the plugs. They are all fine. The N80 was working fine. I ran a test on the EGR via Vagcom. IT seems to be fine. I decided to redo a smoke test. This came with interesting results. I took off MAF and hose and hooked up test to the hard plastic hose that connects to throttle body, ( don't know name of this) No smoke leaking at all. Then thought I'd try it with accordion hose on. After a couple minutes, there was a good amount of smoke coming from under the seal where the accordion hose go onto the hard plastic one, (out from under that spring clamp). see pic. I tried repositioning the clamp, but it kept coming out. I took off the hose and checked the hard plastic piece for any cracks, Nada. Then made a DIY pressure test for accordion hose. No light, water or air came out from anywhere. So I pulled the clamps hard to try and tighten them up a bit. and put them back on.
It was a good amount of smoke rolling out, so I'm thinking this my issue is again; unmetered air coming in after the MAF. and I wonder what thoughts you all have. Should I just buy a new or used hose set up. Is there a high temp tape anyone has used between the two pieces under the clamp to help keep air out. Try a different clamp. What was your result, Dodaman? I've got a '06 Quattro Cabrio 3.0 wA/T with similar codes, but only on one bank, not both.
