Hello,
Customer got damaged car and repaired but he put in new lights that does not have cornering lights and can't change them because it is already fitted.
He asked me to switch off this feature,
How can I reprogram the BCM to have no cornering light fitted as he get warning on dash insert of bulbs failer.

^^^ hmm........ changing Byte 6, Bit 1 on hex55 module is worth a try (IMO).


As for BCM (if the hex 55 module change isn't enuff), the software switches that tell the module what type of lighting is installed happens in Byte 2, Bits 0-2 like this:

Your BCM is currently coded as hex2 - so the BCM believes that the car still has Xenon headlight assemblies. If "he" did not retrofit with incandescent headlights, there isn't a specific combination of software switches for Xenon without AFS (Advanced Frontlighting System). If the car does have incandescent headlight lamps - try hex0

However, if Xenon lamps are fitted (without AFS lamps - is this possible?) there is an adaptation channel in the BCM with the name IDE03638-ENG116674-static AFS light-Vorschrift which I believe means AFS light - regulation. I don't have access to a mk7 at the moment, but there may be a "not active" setting in this channel- perhaps
