LED number plate lights not working

I fitted some LED number plate lights to my 2007 SEAT Altea tdi but they don't seem to be working and the light bulb sign appears on the dash. I put the original bulbs back but still no lights. I ran an autoscan with VCDS see below. Any ideas how I can get the LED lights working your help would be appreciated?

The fault code won't clear itself when you put the original bulbs back, so try clearing the fault code.

Are you sure that your 2007 Altea can support LED bulbs? If not you'll have to resort to adding parallel resistors to "fool" the bulb warning system.

I'm running 1k8 OE leds with similar CECM setup for 5 years and works without error code.
No idea about chineese crap though.
