hello!

so this is the situation, the car i bought dont have the original cluster, so all warning lights are going off, i cant connect to the immo.
i have ordered a original used A4 b5 2000 model TSQ instrument cluster, and i didnt think about the recoding when i bought it.

so my question is, have i made a big problem for my self? is it no way possible to recode without the pins? i hope god that the seller has taken out the pincode.

what can i do?

(ofcourse i haven't received the cluster yet)

the car can run without the cluster, but that shouldnt be possible because of the immo?

maybe the ecu is unlocked from when it was chipped? then it wouldnt be a problem?

Some early A4's had separate immo box, but in MY 2000 it should be integrated in IPC.
Post an autoscan from car in it's current state.

Your ECU is programmed immo-off or immo emulator is installed. So You don't need to worry about matching Your replacement IPC.

If at this time Your engine starts and runs ok, and no fault code for missing permission from immo, but there is no address 17 IPC nor address 25 IMMO showing up in autoscan...
P.S. Since You are verified user, I guess Uwe will move this thread to appropriate section of forum. New User Forum is for introducing Yourself and asking first questions when You already have VCDS interface but You have not got the Verified status yet.
