MKV 2006 Jetta gli motor replacement questions

I blew up my MKV Jetta about a year ago and finally pulled the trigger and got a used motor when trying to find the motor I was presented with the option of thru vin 607500 or from vin 607501 I think I got the later version when the original motor is the earlier one I need to know what the differences are and if the updated after the vin split is compatible with the before vin split please help.
