Have you inspected the sensor to check if it shows any signs of having gotten whacked or being loose in its mount?

Hi all,

just for all which might have the same issue. It just needed re-calibration which you can do if you have VCDS.

Thanks

Just curious:

What procedure did you use with VCDS?

Did you set up the proper targets?

Hi,

i have Hex V2. I did looked into other posts and information from other forums.

I did use the basic settings option and selected the group 001,002,003 and pressed the on/off/next button 2 times. Which did fix the issue.

Thanks

Hi Sr. How did you do that exactly? " I did use the basic settings...". I dont get that. If possible, please, tell me step to step, cuz thats my first experience with my Hex V2. Thanks a lot!

Here's the step-by-step in deep detail. I'm finishing up my calibration after a rock got caught up behind the radar and the steel bracket which over time made the one upper left adjusting screw to get lose from the plastic nut/keeper. I've ordered an repair kit of the three screws including the plastic nut/keepers and then re-calibrated as told in the article linked down bellow. In my case I only have one radar sensor at the front right side, but the procedure are identical except you will have different "bank numbers". Do some measurements and write down distance between the steel bracket and the radar sensor; the length of each of the three screws before any ajustments is made so it's easy to go back if something get worse. Between every small adjustments, take ta car for a spin and drive some miles. Then go back in your garage and read the new missalignment and check if your value of missalignment are moving up or down, then adjust again accordingly to the new value. You have to repeat this proccess over and over until you get as close to 0 degree as posible. Keep in mind that you have to reset/basic settings for every drive after every read outs to make the "brain" calculate new missalignment. In my case it was the bank 001, 002, 003, 004. The bank 004 is the hard master reset you have to do when all the others are back to 0.000 degrees which automatically happen when you push the basic settings ON then OFF for each bank 001, 002, 003. If you only do a reset of bank 001, 002, 003 and 004 without doing any adjustment to the radar, then the fault is only temporarily fixed until the "brain" calculate the missalignment beeing too big and then lock out the ACC telling "ACC not available". In order to do the basic settings you will need to enter the "Security Access code", which are: 91153.

Best regards,
Eirik Larsson

Where did you see it's telling 18.9.1?
I've updated both the VCDS cable and PC software two weeks ago last time I was home from sea (my work).
