Dynaudio menu in Discover Media PQ

I retrofitted dynaudio kit to my tiguan 2016.
I activated sound system and I can hear music, but dynaudio settings is missing.

How I can enable it?

I am pretty sure this can not be enabled via VCDS, as it requires to upload the Dynaudio dataset.

TBAx is correct. In addition to change the 5F coding for external sound system, you also need to upload a dataset, means you need to flash correct parameters to audio system so that it physically enables correct outputs etc.

Edit: hey hey hey, you have PQ platform car. That should go fine without datasets. Those are for mqb cars usually.
Make sure your adaptations point to external amp and 5f long coding has sound system and external speakers set.

I remember playing around with this a few years ago.
I was able to get the Dynaudio menu up on the Discover Media unit, however it didn't have any effect on the amplifier.
From what I can tell the only support is for regular 3 band equalizer.

That makes me wondering why there is a 8 channel ? 4 channels will be fine if there is no dsp.
I had to install new wires to trebles...

Today I completed my Dynaudio amp setup with Discover Media dab+
I changed the adaptation settings according the above
Address 5F, adaptations:
ENG122229-ENG117764-Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2-Amplifier_0x2D,not activated ==> change to activated
ENG122229-ENG117765-Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2-Amplifier_0x2D_msg_bus,not activated ==> change to "Databus Infotainment"
MAS00950-Audio Parameter,0

ENG117919-Startup_Screen_Sticker_HMI ==> 00 02 for Dynaudio

Also in longcoding Byte 11 coded 03 as mentioned instead of 05
after that I rebooted the DM and was suprised with the noise.
I could not turn on/off the DM, totally no controls. Music very loud.
I had to change Byte 11 back to 05 and reboot of the DM. After that system worked fine again.
Why should I have to change code to 03?
Also I couldn't notice any change in sound quality.

Actually I retrofit Dynaudio in my MK5 Golf, from Factory it has Volkswagen Sound but I changed DSP first in Passat B6 Dynaudio because it´s P&P but DM PQ doesn´t like it. There´s no regulation of noise level. So I´ve done my own wire adapter aswell. In next 3 weeks I will try again to get DM PQ working in my car, then I will check if Dynaudio Sound Menu is available. I checked VCP dataset, but there´s no special Dynaudio or DSP Dataset except Multivan but it´s another platform. Maybe it´s dependent from firmware

DM PQ doesn't play nice with Dynaudio amps other than 3AA035466. 3C0035456 and 3AA035456 usually need to be swapped out. Volkswagen Audio amp 5K0035456 works fine with DM PQ.

Good news. We did manage to get all up and running incl functioning Dynaudio menu in Passat B6/7/CC
first of all you will need dynaudio 3AA035466, the 12channel type amp make panasonic.
This one supports UDS protocol and you will need a Discover Media PQ at least E type or G type. Software type 03xx or higher.

Hello!

Tried also this dynaudio menu. Menu appears, but I cannot reccon any sound change whel selecting "authentic", "soft", "dynamic" or "speech".

Only sound change is when I open sliders from dynaudio menu and change "bass" "mid" and "trebel"

From adaptions "audio parameter" is set to 0 and
ENG122229-ENG117764-Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2-Amplifier_0x2D,not activated ==> change to activated

Also byte 11 is coded to 06.
With other codings, dynaudio menu did not appear.

You're correct in that. After tweaking with soundsettings and storing those, it works.
Looks like there should be some data sets needed for discovermedia with Dynaudio.
When you have a passat b8 with factory dynaudio those settings are there, but with a system with no correct dynaudio sets (in the DM PQ) settings are all 0

Tried to load datasets to discovery and amplifier but no luck. Those "authentic", "soft", "dynamic" or "speech" do not change anything.
And when bass, mid, treble menu is active and adjusted, then it is same for every menu (authentic, soft, dynamic or speech).

Same for me in Golf 5 with Retrofitted DM PQ an Dynaudio from Scirocco. I tried many things to get these Sound Profiles working. Actually car is in garage because dameged exhaust. After repair i will try to bring a new dataset with ODIS in that car. Maybe it works.

After long time I had time to look into this again. you guys are right. the settings will not store. after reset all the settings (authentic/soft/dynamic or speech) are all zero.
i'm still looking for a data set that will programm these settings.

It is possible to activated Dynaudio screen on then DM unit however if your systems uses 10channels with sub you’re not able to get the 4 sliders in EQ - you’ll only have normal 3 and no subwoofer slider.
