Audi Q5 - Trailer module removal

I would like to remove the Trailer module from my 2015 Audi SQ5. I found a few guides to add the module but they seems to be all somewhat different.

So I probably need to remove the "Hitch installer" options from a few modules like Engine, ABS and Cent. Elect and Back-up Cam. If I forget some modules, I will simply get faults that I can then fix?

What would be procedure? Do I disconnect the Trailer module before recoding the others module? From my understanding, I should also remove the module from a gateway. When I should do this? At the beginning? At the end?

Finally, should I disconnect the battery at some point? How reset everything to make sure there is no faults?

Yeah, there's quite a few other modules that would need to have coding adjusted if you removed the trailer module. If you really want to go there, start by physically removing the trailer module and then un-checking it in the Gateway's [Installation List] function. Then let's see what starts to complain.

However... Do you really want the module? I think the hitch itself can be removed while leaving the module in place and none of the other modules will be any the wiser.

Ok, I removed the module physically and from the gateway.

I then had fault in the following modules.

01-Engine
03-ABS Brakes
09-Cent. Elect.
3C-Lane Change
5F-Information Electr.
6C-Back-up Cam.

I could fix all the malfunctions (by removing the hitch/trailer option) except for 5F-Information Electr. in which I could not find anything related to trailer/hitch. Any idea how to fix this fault?

I also tried to reboot the MMI.
