09 Golf ABS basic settings and Steering angle sensor issues/fault codes

Hi all, Long story short, ABS module was diagnosed as faulty, I fitted a new genuine Module and Pump assembly from the local dealer.
Ive attached a log and for some reason I am unable to carry out the basic settings for the intake and disconnecting valves and the steering angle sensor will not set in the ABS module, I can re calibrate the steering angle sensor in 44-steering assist and see with live data its working, Ive managed to get half way through the Intake valve settings but end up being stuck either at the start [116/129] or it will go through a few different target pressures but eventually get stuck on one particular set of targets, I am trying this with a stone cold engine an big fan blowing on the ABS module area.

The original ABS module coding was cut and pasted into the new module with no problem, the vehicle has been to the local dealer and they cannot seem to sort it, no software updates available according to them.

I am quite stumped at this point, I have tried all the various "how to videos" including the ross-tech ones

One thing I have noticed is the fault codes are dated 2013, yet this has only just been an issue since Dec 2018 and I don't have a log before the repair was carried out.

Steering Angle Sensor should be done in 03-ABS.
I assume you've been through this page?

The incorrect dates can be due to a number of things; date not set correctly in the car, or module unable to retrieve it at that time. Use mileage as a reality / cross check.

Although there isn't any harm in calibrating G85 in 44 it should complete in 03 per Uwe's MK60EC1 Wiki link. After getting G85 to calibrate in 03, exit the Basic Settings function, start the engine and hold the steering at each end-stop for 5+ seconds followed by straightening the wheel to see if 00003 is the only remaining DTC in 03 and 44. If you still have steering related DTCs I'd take it for a quick test drive to try to resolve them without getting the engine bay/ABS module entirely hot.

Next, when 00003 is the only DTC make sure you are letting off of the pedal entirely in-between specified pressure requests per the video on that Wiki page. If you were letting off of the pedal entirely it might not hurt to check the brake pressure and brake light switching in the event that a sensor signal is causing the problem.

Although that 2-step process is relentless and miserable in a hot climate we rarely have customers that are unable to complete it. Air in the brake system is a possibility but I'm assuming you already bleed the brakes and the pedal is OK both while stopped and driving?
