    Tiguan Airbag Index Code

    I have the following code for my airbag system 01042 - Control Module; Not Coded
    000 - -

    I have located the airbag module installed in the car, after reading http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Airbag_Coding I can´t locate my index number can someone help me identify it or none of this are the index code.

    How did it get that way? Did you replace the airbag module? If so, do you still have the old one? Does it talk? A scan of the old module should show its index.

    Then the next question becomes: Is this one the same or compatible? Where did you get it?

    I bought the car some months ago and it came that way with that module, I haven´t replaced any airbag or sensors for the airbag system. Is there any other way to get the index?

    Give a dealer (or Partslink24) the VIN of the car and find out what the full part number for a replacement airbag module would be.

    The full part number will include the index for the module that should be in the car.

    Of course, that doesn't mean that's what's actually in the car.
