    OK, what have you done to check the electrical integrity of the sensor that the module has a fault code for?

    The engineering problems are likely insurmountable. It would be like proposing to land a rocket booster section on a barge floating in the middle of the ocean.

    Check the connector on the sensor is correctly plugged in and the connections are not corroded would be a good place to start.
