ECS traction control retrofit on jetta mk6

    Hi,

We are doing an ECS traction control retrofit on 2016 jetta mk6 and the required coding/instruction from ECS doesnt match our coding...

    Auto-Scan
    Address 03: ABS Brakes (J104) Labels:. 1K0-907-379-60EC1F.clb
    Part No SW: 1K0 907 379 CB HW: 1K0 907 379 CB
    Component: ESP MK60EC1 H46 0174

    No fault code found.

    This is our long coding

    As per ECS instruction

I was about to post some string, but then saw that You're unverified.

    Please get verified....

PS! You also followed ECS instructions wrong.

I did as per Andy Smith's instructions... We should be verified soon.

    Followed ECS instructions wrong?!

    As per their instructions...
Select Byte 19. The value will be 12. Uncheck Bit 4 and check Bit 5 and the value will change to 22

There is no check box on Byte 19...

Well, they're certainly wrong with respect to what the value currently is; your Byte 19 is 0x18, not 0x22. ;-)

If you'd like to un-check bit 4 and check bit 5 anyway, then you'd need to change Byte 19 to 0x28. But I make no guarantee that this will produce the correct results for you.

The engineering problems are likely insurmountable. It would be like proposing to land a rocket booster section on a barge floating in the middle of the ocean.

I don't see the point for enabling XDS for ESP.

But I suggest value like A14B400C49220000850F02E4921D004101F0F068 , Gives You ESC SPORT and ESC OFF(Is this legal though?).
Later(Like Yours) MK60EC1 carry ESP and TPMS coding in last byte bits 3-5. So You could try any combo from these bits.

There is no available check box for bytes 19... Did it manually. Working.
