    Warranty is one year.

However, we have out-of-warranty repair and upgrade options. Please e-mail Support@Ross-Tech.com and describe exactly what's wrong with it.

The engineering problems are likely insurmountable. It would be like proposing to land a rocket booster section on a barge floating in the middle of the ocean.

If you own hex-can or older interface, open it up, and check at least for visual damage, "black smoke" , maybe fried voltage regulator, usb cable wires torn off the pcb, check continuity for the cable itself.
Dead ftdi chip could be harder to diagnose.
I have seen some topics in here when users tries to fix it themselves.

As well as my HEX-NET I still have my old HEX-CAN cable, but that appears to be glued together, not screwed, so opening it up won't be easy

The casings are screwed together, but there is usually a generous helping of hot glue on the board too - presumably to make them more resilient.
You'll often find the PCB is stuck to one side of the casing by the glue, so you have to be careful pulling it open if so, to avoid ripping components off the board.
A soldering heat gun helps to soften the glue.
Apparently I should put something witty or profound in here...
