VIM with RossTech

Looks like some mod can only be done with "VCP" (such à Video in Motion for some A6 models). See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDjRENhhq1w

Any plan to add that capability to RossTech ?

This modification requires read/write access to the control modules‘ EEPROM. VCDS has currently no feature to do so and in my understanding of what Uwe told, it is not planned to be implemented; at least in the near future.

The same goes for uploading datasets, which is currently very much required for retrofits in current gen cars.

However I would be happy hearing that stuff would be implemented. Everyone who mistakenly changed BCM Byte 18 in PQ35 would be able to correct the mistake by themselves etc.

VIM for Audi A6 pre-Facelift can be done with VCDS as there it is just an adaptation channel in unit 5F.
Just as a side note as the author mentioned an A6

Unfortunatly some A6 models require access to the control modules‘ EEPROM :-(((
