Hi!

i got new injectors, egr, and throttle body ready to install (Audi RS4 b7 2007) and i bought this hex-v2 interface as i thought (understood what i was reading about it) that its possible to manage Audis engine electronics and do component adaptions and learnig as well but so far i got no luck with this one as i get stuck at login for engine as it requires login code.

I cant find login codes from any manuals (i bought all what was available to buy and from erwin as well).

I did try to change settings on other modules, and i can do changes for radio example and comfort but those are not realy things i need this hex-v2 for...

could someone point me to the right direction where to find login codes?

is it even nessesary?

sorry is not even possible and i just wasted my money while buying this hex-v2 thing?

Hi JamoFighter, you may want to say hello in the New User Forum. You can also ask questions before buying VCDS in the Pre-sales forum, here.

Good news though - VCDS is a very powerful piece of hardware & software that is capable of what you require. However, it cannot work magic and cannot bypass the security requirement of the controllers. I would recommend speaking with Uwe, unless he replies to this thread to enquire about known security codes for your engine controller.

I don't think injectors need to be coded on that engine. That normally only a CR-TDI thing.

After installing the throttle body, you'll want to do an "alignment" / calibration. That's done with a Basic Setting, on your engine it should be Group 060. The only thing I'm not sure about is whether that's handled in 01 (ECU1) or 31 (the functional address for both ECUs simultaneously).

What do you think you need a Login or Security access code for?
