    Coding information J794, J393, J519, J285

    Hi,

Does anybody has coding information on these units from a 2016 Audi A6? There is no coding help available in VCDS.
Would be of some great help!

    Thanks in advance

Is there something in particular you are trying to accomplish?

    -Uwe-
The engineering problems are likely insurmountable. It would be like proposing to land a rocket booster section on a barge floating in the middle of the ocean.

Well the current (bench) setup contains just these units. I was planning to see if certain options can be turned off, so that for example the J285/J519/J393 will no longer expect messages from the TPMS system, Air Suspension, Wipers etc etc

Besides that, the J794 gives the well known volume "Currently not available" error. Maybe this is due the "Check Software Version Management" DTC but I figure it could also be caused by DTC's 6697, 6702, 6708, 7169, 7170, 7175, 7179, 7184 and/or 7199. Which are all "Function Restricted due to Missing Message(s)" faults.

Well any coding information on the above units would be great. CAN recordings on the J794 and J519 busses would also be great, but that requires some different tools.

Does anyone maybe know how to change the 5F coding from BOSE sound package (8RY) to standard audio system (8RX)?

Try changing Byte 11 from 02 to 00.

The current 5F label doesn't have coding info but you would have access to experiential coding with one of our current interfaces. The Why Upgrade? thread expands on that.

We can help you with a file for address 09. Please drop an email to Support with a link in this thread and I'll get it sent off in the morning.

Although it won't resolve all faults on a bench - you should be able to un-check various modules in that 19-CAN Gateway using the Installation List function to clean up the scan.

I will do that thanks! I'm thinking about upgrading my HEXCAN. The only thing is that I can hardly miss it for more then a few days. I use it very often.
