I definitely forgot about this, please forgive me. here's a screenshot from ETKA:

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/xnb1wjpwedm9joh/ETKA0003.PNG

as you can see, the S BCM is "also to be used for" Q and R.
variant Z0S is for PR code QQ0 "without add. lights (interior lighting)"
variant Z0T is for PR code QQ3 "interior ambient lighting and surround lighting"

both variants were superseded in 2016 by variant Z0W, so long story short, you need 5Q0 937 087 S Z0W. don't worry, I believe Z00 is ok too, maybe my ETKA is not 100% accurate because it doesn't have online access.

I also checked the AC panel, even if we didn't talk about it. you need 5GM 907 426 A WZU, hope you got that. here's a screenshot.

let me know if you need anything else.

No worries at all! Thank you for your help!

I think based on what the dealer told me that Z00 superseded the other model numbers so it does sound like I have the correct part luckily. Now I just need help figuring out the steps needed to swap the BCM modules with VAG-COM and or dealer tools.

    I have that exact part.

Right now it seems as if I have all of the correct parts, just not the knowledge on how to code them to my car. Do you have any guidance on that?

full car backup and AC panel swap was discussed at the beginning. do that first, it's easy.

go on youtube and find a video to understand how to remove the level that opens the hood. you'll never figure it out by yourself but once you see (and you do it once), it's easy. then you need to gain physical access to the BCM, it won't be very easy if you never did it before, and I don't really know how to detail it, try googling it, there might be videos on youtube. it's tight as hell, that is for sure.

    1) disconnect the battery. if that was not clear, DISCONNECT THE BATTERY;
    2) unplug the three BCM connectors. they all have a lever that needs to go top to bottom, but it won't move before pushing a small latch. the center connector has to travel outside and then down in the white plastic rails;
    3) BCM can come out now, you need to swivel the bottom out of its holder, then BCM comes down vertically. yes, it's tight.
CHECK IF YOU HAVE WIRES IN THESE POSITIONS: 1, 2, 5 of connector A and 40, 43, 56 of connector C.
    4) basically reverse the procedure and put in the new BCM. you are allowed to swear
    5) re-connect the three plugs, do not swap A with C. I don't think the wires are long enough anyway.
    6) connect battery. as soon as you switch the ignition on, CP will kick in.
    7) set Long Coding of old BCM to the new one.
    8) dump admap of new BCM and use WinMerge to compare to the old one. you need to manually set all adaptations to the old values, it will be A LOT, like hundreds. took me more than two hours. it's easier if you have a second computer with WinMerge, and another person that dictates you the adaptation and the value.
    9) when you're finished, cycle ignition (wait a minute) and clear all errors. if you are left with CP errors only (in BCM, and maybe other modules), you're good.
    10) drive to dealer, have CP removed and keyfobs taught. bring them all.

if you don't have the wires in those six positions, you need to buy the loom and install it. that will be another PITA. do the modules first. do not put back all the dash trims you removed, especially DO NOT PUT BACK the hood level, leave it in the door pocket and use it on the fly if you need to open the hood.

I am good all the way through step 6, but before I do any of it, how do I dump the admap of the old BCM? Is there a video somewhere on that?

A little confused on what is involved to finish step 8 too. Any walk throughs on this? I have searched but haven't found much.

Step 10, what do I specifically ask the dealer? Should I know the name of the system they need to use and what steps they need to complete?

    [Applications]
    [Controller Channel Map]
    Controller Address = 09
Login or security access code: [Hopefully someone will recommend one]
    Function: Adaptations
    Output: CSV file

The engineering problems are likely insurmountable. It would be like proposing to land a rocket booster section on a barge floating in the middle of the ocean.

step 6) as Uwe said, do that for EVERY module listed in the autoscan, then save the autoscan as well. that's your car's stock backup. you should already have done that. set all files as read only and make two copies, you never know. ah, security access is not needed when reading admaps.

step 8) I don't know how to say it easier. WinMerge is a program that will take both admaps and show you the differences. so load the NEW admap on the left and the OLD one on the right. you want to input values on the right.

something I forgot, it goes between steps 7) and 8). before you set all adaptations to your old values, your lights will all be misconfigured. I mean, when I did it, high beams were on all the time. that can drain the battery fast, so if you notice something similar, pull the light fuse or pull the connector from the headlight. it will trigger faults that will be easily cleared at the end.

step 10) tell the dealer "I replaced the BCM, I need Component Protection removed and all my keyfobs re-matched, please". if he doesn't know, acknowledge politely and exit. call VW USA and report the dealer for incompetence. go to another dealer. yo buddy, I really don't know what to say :P

I knew going into the whole project that I am in over my head, but I do learn fast. So, thank you so much for your help! I will post back when I find time to start the swap.

Also, One more question. When I first got the car I changed some settings using VAG-COM regarding door open chimes set to off versus on, seat belt chime disabled by switching some setting to something other than USA. When you mentioned I should do a full backup, I am concerned that I messed up by not doing one before I made those changes. Am I all good since everything is functioning as I would like now before I start the swap?

yes you're fine, that's every newbie's mistake. you just won't have a backup 100% as stock, but if you changed little things there is nothing to worry about.

for example, I also don't have a full stock backup, but I'll tell you what: any backup I make which has zero errors I consider as safe. actually the last backup is the best for me, it's not like I am gonna remove all the things I retrofitted if I sold the car.
