VW RNS510 Bluetooth module info needed to save my sanity!

    Hi Folks,

I have spent a significant amount of time searching/google looking at different part numbers and specs for bluetooth module part numbers to see which one is best to fit with an RNS510 retrofit to get BT music streaming and handsfree calling. I am about to lose my mind as there is SO much conflicting info!

Not concerned with it showing in the MFD as some of the retrofits are into cars with the older red displays so I know the newer 9w7 modules with stereo BT streaming won't show in the display but will still work through the RNS screen.

Which module part number/s are the best to keep an eye out for? Ideally one that can work with both RNS510 and RCD510.

My retrofits are only in the UK so UK relevant part numbers if poss!

Problem is that when you don't have menue in MFD, you cannot connect phone. Through RNS510 you cannot connect your phone.

for example: 7P6 035 730 L (there are other letters that work)
    3C8 035 730 B/C/D

If you are interested, I have one 3C8 premium BT module for sale.

Thanks for the info, thatís useful!

I have limited experience with how the VW audio equipment works so didnít know that.

So from the back of that, is there a stereo a2dp Bluetooth module that DOES work with the older red displays? Or is it restricted to 9w2 mono ones?

Some 7P6 modules should work, but I don't know exact part numbers.
