Myself and two other with F5 Audi A5's have retrofitted Audi Park Assist (PLA) to our cars (which is basically automatic parking). The hardware is simply 4 extra sensors, new switch and a wiring loom.
All three of us have followed the coding instructions from the kit supplier. We've reached out to them for support but they have failed to come up with a solution on the issue we're having and so I thought I'd reach out to the community here to see if you could help or have any experience of retrofitting this (on any platform).
PLA allows parallel park, reverse bay, forward bay parking and also will move you out of a parked space. The issue we're all encountering is that on all three cars (all have auto transmission) when Drive is selected on the gear lever the automatic parking maneuver is cancelled. So when parallel parking for instance, when the car asks the driver to select [D] so that it can straighten up, as soon as [D] is selected, the function is cancelled.

And believe me, the sensor bracket WON'T come off. For best grip, use some sanding paper on both sensor bracket fixing points and bumper side. It will make the surface a bit more rough and the grip will be superb.
