Coding a brand new virgin head unit into a Q3, possible?

    Hi folks,

Generally speaking, if a customer was to get a brand new concert for their Q3, could I link it to their car using VCDS or is it strictly ODIS?

Customer has asked the question so want to give an informed answer before going ahead.

    Thanks

I suspect it would be locked down, be it a "key code" or Component Protection.

Also it is required to return all FeC codes enabled in the original system and that requires ODIS and factory connection as well.
