hey all, well ive managed to clear a few faults

liking ths vcds just getting used to it now lol ive managed to fit a alarm horn as was missing for some reason got it to work on test :thumbs:

and ive managed to get it to chirp on unlock but not lock yet but getting there

but I have a fault code coming up regarding ecu I think.. will post a scan

001537 in most cases means it is time to replace that module. However, you need to verify the electrical paths for powers/grounds of the control in question are to factory design. We have seen some cases were a loose ground or rotting terminal leads to a voltage drop under load... thus replacing the control module didn't fix the issue.

005634 low voltage... this could be as simple as leaving the ignition on with engine off for a while, running the battery flat. But no other modules have low voltage codes, so again, you need to verify the electrical paths for powers/grounds are to factory design and not dropping voltage under load.

Voltage drop testing, I personally suggest investing in a 180 LoadPro kit. http://a.co/d/a9ZEG3l
VWoA sent out a letter to the dealers a few years ago saying it isn't a required tool for the shop, but they strongly suggested to have it.

As Jef has suggested, you need to check the power and ground connections to the engine ECU - which isn't something that VCDS can help you with. But, a WD would be a good thing to have

Hmmmm so now buy 180 LoadPro kit and do a drop test on ecu + and -?
I understand how to do it, but where is ecu

?? I I'm a amputee and like to fix my own car's so have a garage set up with a pit etc for my use so audi in there for new downpipe, intercooler and service etc and plug in for faults to come across the problems I've shared and want to fix it myself

would this problem be caused by battery ignitier?? As it needs replacing just not arrived yet

ECM should be located in the plenum chamber at base of windshield.

/1 /2 and /4 are the main grounds.
/2 /5 and /5 are the main powers.
If there is any sort of voltage drop at any of those, then fix. If they carry load without issue, replace ECM and drag to dealer to be matched up.

Please no uninvited PM's, use the forum so all benefit.

Trace all the circuits using a load light to qualify the harness, then measure sensors or actuators directly with meter plus simulate function.

Last condemn the ecu but in your case math needs to be checked first due to voltage discrepancies that may have caused a glitch in data during accident similar to welding FOD or a short.

Based on a combination of info in the original thread in addition to this thread I believe:

This is a crash repair vehicle and the battery igniter wasn't replaced yet
The battery went flat at one point
The alarm horn as was missing
The master driver's door lock function doesn't work

Do correct me if I missed any major items -or- if that isn't an accurate summary. If you happen to any of the collision damage details (i.e. Front, side, rear-end hit) please include them.

In the meanwhile the newest scan via email (Tuesday,11,December,2018,13:15:26):

Didn't have any of the CAN Comfort databus DTCs. If wiring related, that may depend on the location of the vehicle damage. In that case those might not return until doors/lids are opened and closed.
The 01-Engine Power Supply Terminal 30 Voltage too Low in conjunction with Internal Control Module - Memory Check Sum Error were both stored. Per the above suggestions I would want to sort that out as a priority.
The Igniter for battery interrupt should also be corrected while you are testing for voltage drops and/or wiring problems.

I would also recommend trying to default the ECU by further re-coding and see if it will recalculate its own X sum.
