Hi all,
When I perform the optical bus test it returns all errors on both electrical and optical for all controllers in the MOST loop. The infotainment does work fully with no faults in the autoscan. My main question is how does the optical bus test work and what could cause all the errors?
When I say 'work' there has been two issues recently. 1) I noticed a crackling sound from one of the rear speakers and 2) driving two days ago the MMI did die on me. It came alive after it was locked then unlocked. In other MMI / MOST related posts you usually see only one electrical error and therefore easy to spot the faulting module.
I guess one module isn't happy and have an suspicion it could be the digital radio as I notice sometimes the signal strength dropped to zero (near the time in the attached photo is [0], that's the signal strength). I have a few optical loop leads so I'll remove one module at a time and test.
