Hi all,

recently retrofitted AID on a 2015 Golf R along with MIB2.5
5NA 035 020A and the 9.2 screen

after the usual CP removal and coding, everything works fine apart from the Mic

I have a full scan of the car on my computer which is at home howeverm generally speaking, is there a wiring mod needed for the Mic?
the phone essentially works, we can pair phones / can hear the dial tone and use A2DP but VCDS shows "mic / open to short ground"

the car does have DynAudio

As I said, i do have a full scan but not on me! (will post later) just asking for some guidance as I know some of the MK7 retrofit guys like to keep knowledge to themselves!

The Mic worked fine before which leads me to believe a wiring mod may be needed?

any help would be appreciated :thanks:

you can simple compare drawing in ELSA , but I dont think is a wire changes
Also check MIC p/n in Etka
I move from DP GEN 1 5G0 to GEN 2 3Q0 with straight swap
Measure MIC output on old one when MIC is connected , and do this same with new one

Check mic polarity - IIRC they are electret microphones which work best (at all?) when connected with the correct polarity.

Is the polarity the same between MIB1, MIB2 & MIB2.5? Just worth checking IMHO.

Mic polarity was a cause of many similar problems on earlier VAG infotainment systems.

MIB 1 and MIB 2 - yes - 100% , I swap in my car DVD P&P
