    Two YouTube vids...

One of the guys in a local car club had a clown in a Toyota RAV4 write off his C63 AMG Mercedes... and it's become a bit of a joke in the group:

And I had to go visit the neighbours at their new house... the driveway is 800 metres long (875 yards, in black and white) I recorded part of it :-) They're planning on concreting it at some stage... Yes, that's right! $$$!!!

(I've since cleaned the windscreen, and installed my good camera too! )

My main concern was tearing the bottom off the alloy fuel tank - it's slightly less forgiving than plastic

It ruined my economy readout too - it added .7 L/100kms to the average!

I can go more offroad now

    It got JACKED 20mm lift.

I already did a test run, down to the boys school bus stop - No scraping Might try the neighbours driveway again

Bluran 2.0 Got some new tyres - Bridgestone Potenza RE003.

R32ran had *1* steelie arrive (for tax reasons, they are all arriving seperately )

I think I'll paint them silver though, with Caddy centrecaps. And a slightly taller tyre - 225/45R17's currently, maybe 215/50, 225/50, 235/45... not sure yet - I don't want to over gear it, with only 250 horse powders.

    Family trip away.

The boys always seem to think I'm going faster than I am!

I was *slightly* over the speed limit after changing down to nip past that last car ... but buttoned off as soon as I knew I was going to safely get past, before the lane finished.

I dunno if the cop was too far away, sleeping, wasn't fussed, or if he didn't beleive it could have been a Touran - they usually enforce 4km/h over on holiday traffic... and I may have been slightly more than 4 over The sounds seems to cut out just as my eldest son says the speed out loud

Mmm that engine sound, it's acceptable to me.

Why the switch from alloys to steelies?

OK we do that now in the Northern Hemisphere to fit Winter tyres (I swapped mine a couple of weeks ago), but your Summer is on its way?

    Stealth / Sleeper!
The engineering problems are likely insurmountable. It would be like proposing to land a rocket booster section on a barge floating in the middle of the ocean.

I just have a thing for steel wheels! this holey merc/vw/BMW style does it for me. I'd have liked bigger holes and 16's, but they don't fit over the brakes.
