DPF hammered at less than 70,000 km?

Isn't it under a longer Federal Emissions warranty, just like a catalytic converter? And in light of Dieselgate, I'm pretty confident Audi will deal with this.

Meanwhile, we'd like to see a complete Auto-Scan just for context.

Yes indeed it is covered by extended warranty and even if you didn't accept a buy back or opt for a repair.

My recollection is that there are no buy-backs for the cars with 3 liter engines, but substantial amounts of cash to have them "fixed", and once fixed, there's even more extended warranty, to something like 120,000 miles...

Ah, that's right. Generation 1 (through MY 2012) has a buy-back offer, but Generation 2 (like the OP's and 2014 A8 and our 2015 Touareg) doesn't. Thanks for straightening that out.

Hi,

Thank you for the all reply's. I am planning to take it back to the dealer. I know this issue and far as what I read any issue which generates by the computer should be covered by the extended warranty . In this car it is 6 years or 120K Miles which ever comes first extended warranty. I just like to see anyone has good idea about his problem.

I have an other VW TDI, which have had issue with DPF. It is also under the extended warranty. The dealer had the car for a week and they drove the car almost 300 miles and I think they "cooked" the engine room with regenerating over and over again. Result of that the errors went away, but they killed the AC compressor and the water pump start to licking after I got the car back. I am not sure what else will brakes from result of this fix. I was told by the service manager I should be happy nothing else is broken on the car since it has so many miles (~180K). They would be happy to fix all these other problems for discounted price. Car had none of these issues before bought it to service the DPF. Since the car creates so much heat inside cabin it is worms up by front firewall area.

I am not very trusting of dealer after the VW fix. I hope the Audi service will know better how to fix this without creating more issues.

Thanks again for all inputs and let me know if is any advice.
