Hmm..

This is how it should look like in your autoscan :

Code:
Address 55: Xenon Range (J745) Labels: 7P6-907-357.clb
   Part No SW: 7P6 907 357 A HW: 7P6 907 357 A
   Component: AFS-ECU H07 0080
   Revision: -------- Serial number: --------------
   Coding: 028A00104F000200
   Shop #: WSC 01357 011 00200
   ASAM Dataset: EV_HeadlRegulVWAFSMQB 001120
   ROD: EV_HeadlRegulVWAFSMQB.rod
   VCID: 3D71DF7FAC8475F6BF5-8068

   Subsystem 1 - Part No SW: 3D0 941 329 A HW: 3D0 941 329 A
   Component: LeiMo links H05 0012
   Coding: 900000

   Subsystem 2 - Part No SW: 3D0 941 329 A HW: 3D0 941 329 A
   Component: LeiMo rechts H05 0012
   Coding: 900000

No fault code found

Now the subsystem 1 and 2 are not visible at all. They should be even if the module is not correctly coded.

Look here. VERY good guide with exact coding and adaptation info and also very good information what is needed : https://www.drive2.ru/l/477904929109836205/

I have read that also, as far as I can see he has retrofitted the double U-DRL's of an R32 golf, he has two 3D0941329C modules under his lights, I have one 3D0941329G module.
He has stepped down form AFS 7P6907357D to AFS 7P6907357A for reasons of not accepting any code (mine has accepted a coding, whether it's the correct one?). That's why I am in doubt whether I have the correct modules.

The CAN wiring should be OK, I've checked that 4 times now. Also, there is some communication between AFS master and slaves because I can read the adjusting motor values, whether the low beam is active, etc.
Thats the mai reason I'm in doubt of the modules.

When I receive my new Xenon bulbs I will check the connections in the lamps (whether they are plugged in firmly) and check also the exact module versions (should have done that yesterday evening  .

Keep you posted

Okay, today I received my new Xenon Bulbs, replaced and took a look at my AFS slave modules. There is no doubt anymore on what modules I have, 3D0 941 329 B and I think H04 is the software version?

Will that be compatible with 7P6907357D?

BTW, what is the adaptation channel for the left outer rear light (incandescent)?

23 and 24 are for LH + RH inside.

Don is your man on the adaptations, he has done an excellent documentation on them. This I could find from the net.

And yes, your slave modules are compatible with the xenon range control module you have.

Then Why aren't the slaves programmed by the AFS Master?

Incorrect coding or wiring problem. As the range control module does not even see the power modules, my money is on wiring issue. And excplicitly on headlamp connector. Check that wiring against Elsawin with a magnifying glass. I had one ground pin missing which caused the AFS modules not to be seen by the range control module.

You mean In the modules? The wiring between master and slaves is checked 4 times, that is oke.

I don’t question that, I mean the headlamp connector. There’s much more than just the range control module pins. BCM, +12v, grounds, CAN connection etc.

The thing is, I can measure motor positions from the headlamp adjusting motors, I wouldn't be able to measure those data if there wasn't a connection? Or am I wrong?

Tonight I will post the codings of the AFS module.

I'll have a look in the evening when I'm home to Elsawin, how the connection diagram shows it. I would guess it's quite similar to previous gen Golf's with AFS lights. I'll check it.

Ok, I checked your wiring diagram on page 1 against Elsa and looks to be correct except, what is pin 13? Factory diagram does not have that connected?

Pin 13 is for the US Side marker light which I do not have and also not have connected.

This is the coding I have in my car:

I'm going to check my wiring again against the diagram. For all, check whether the pin 4 is 12v+ and pin 7 is ground. And of course the CAN wires.

Specialy because of the fact that my U-LED's aren't working either although I've changed the adaptation channels.
Is there any possibility to check the AFS modules?

Do you have the factory diagram?

And check both grounds pin 5 and 7.

Update:
At last I managed to make time to check the wiring, yes there were some wiring errors, especially T46b/10 to T14j/10 was forgotten to make and also T46b/21 to T14k/10.
After connecting those the U-LED DRL's and the small LED's were working. Still no AFS function.

Do you still have errors in the coding? Did it now code the submodules?

Sorry, been very busy lately,

no it didn't code the sub modules. I haven't got a clue.

Now I'm looking for a A version of the AFS module

For the AFS it doesn’t matter if you use 357 A or D. It’s important that the slave modules are ok. When you have the Dynamic Headlights with Highbeam Assist the slave modules are 329 A and D. If you have the headlights without HBA then you need 329 or 329 D or 329 E. 329 B and C and all other index will not work! So first check what headlight you have. If you know this then you can work further. Otherwise it’s waste.
