Passat B8 retrofit mode button and app connect

Failing that to get support here we'll need to see a full LEGAL VCDS Auto-Scan of your car - maybe a friend with VCDS could do a scan for you?

Altough VCDS is a good tool, it won't help in this case.

App-Connect is MY16 feature and if Your current config doesn't even show CarPlay or AndroidAuto logo, You have MIB1 which just doesn't support it.
Mode function is SWAP meaning You need to buy whole kit from dealer and let them(or 3rd party) activate it via connection to VW servers.
