I'm looking to disable the rear wiper via VCDS. I managed to carry this out on my 8P RS3 but i cannot see where i can do this on the Touareg. Can anyone point me in the right direction please.

Cheers

Hello,

Not too sure why you would not want a rear wiper, but I have a simple answer for a simple question... You can remove the V12-Rear wiper motor fuse, SB52 (15A), located in the SB fuse box on the left side of the dash.

The J519 looks like it is in control of the V12, so after you remove the fuse, check the fault codes in the [09-Cent. Elect.]. If there is a fault code please post a complete Auto-Scan of the vehicle in question.

Hope this helps,

drpeter

Thanks drpeter, that’s great i’ll give that go and report back.

A few reasons for removal really:
1) I don’t like the look of them.
2) My cars are never dirty enough to require one. Windows are well coated and water just runs off.
3) I’ve never used one intentionally.
4) It marks the window when there is grit/dirt on the window/blade.
5) it isn’t a requirement to have one so I remove them.
