hi I have just updated my vcds and now I get a no connection message. can anyone help please thanks.

Given that Paul here is from the UK, I'd wager it was the same thing that the distributors were mentioning earlier today, which has since been (for the time being) rectified, with the server being restarted.

Paul, I had the same problem when I updated mine this week. easy fix, uninstall vcds, then reninstall it , worked for me ,same problem.

Paul, I had the same problem when I updated mine this week. easy fix, uninstall vcds, then reninstall it , worked for me ,same problem.
Paul has a HEX-v2 (which you couldn't have known), so his issue is different from the micro-CAN bug you encountered.
