01043 - Control Module; Incorrect Software Version

I updated the software from VCDS Version: 18.2.1.5 (x64) to VCDS Version: Release 18.9.0 (x64) this AM. Last scan I ran was in August 2018 and I was not getting the following error.

Now when running scan on new SW version, I'm getting the following error on my Audi C7/S6.

Has the firmware in the 5F module been updated? If that is not correctly done it can lead to an SVM error.

Have exactly the same issue. Nothing has been updated. Scanned car today and it popped up. No other DTC present

No. I recently (2 weeks ago) installed ALA but did not touch 5F. Tried to adapt also 17 to show max instantaneous consumption scale to 30l instead of default 20l/100km but didnt work so reverted and reset ESI to good quality oil after a change. Few months back I enabled VIM in MMI but never had the error until today

There seems to be a bug when editing post on android/chrome that causes to cluck on delete post when clicking on text to edit

I have not seen that, but rarely use Android for forums. In any case, I can un-delete for you.

Thanks Uwe, no need. I made it more compact with same info
After clearing the DTC yesterday it didn't come back so maybe one off glitch.
Is it possible that vag cars are smart enough to know that coding the ALA was not supposed to be there and throw an error in 5F?

Sorry, my brain is drawing a blank. What is "ALA"?
