Hi guys.

On Ross-Tech Wiki e.g. 00200 http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/inde...&profile=default&search=00200&fulltext=Search it says Create the page "00200" on this wiki!

http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/00200 it says:

There is currently no text in this page. You can search for this page title in other pages, or search the related logs, but you do not have permission to create this page.

It would be nice to create this code but obviously we don't have permission.

VAG Error Code: 00200

Fault Location:
Rear Interior Lamp Button (E327) - Electrical Fault in Circuit

Possible Cause:
Wiring/Connector(s).
Rear Interior Lamp Button (E327).

Like many codes not shown on Wiki it would be nice to post them for it to be tried out.

What are you thoughts Uwe? You can

it.

It has never been our intention to have every fault code in the Wiki. In general, we add those where we think elaboration beyond the text that's already provided by VCDS might be useful/helpful. Your example above provides no useful information beyond that which is already in the fault code text provided by VCDS. Now if that fault code had some other potential cause besides the totally obvious wiring/connectors or button itself, then I'd feel differently. If that fault commonly occurred in some model of car at a particular point, for example due to a wire chafing on something, and we listed the place where the that tends to happen, then that would also qualify.

I agree to disagree. :D While I agree with Uwe that some codes should be self explaining and additional information is always key, we sure would like to have every DTC in the WIKI. Reality is that many of our customers are not electricians or technicians who would be able to draw the lines from an electrical fault code to a wiring/component issue. So from that perspective even the most obvious things should IMHO be included.

Keith, when making a request like this please also include some details where/how you came across a specific code. In some cases this will lead to specific notes which makes adding them more reasonable per Uwe's explanation. :)

P.S.: DTC added to WIKI...
