Very interesting, thank you very much.

Would this work for a Tiguan (AX) that is currently set to NAR region?
Right now it does give me the "small" readout for alternate speed, but I need the large speedo, just like you show here.
And yes, "speedo" can be interpreted both ways ;)

I've not personally tried on that particular model, however; from what you're saying it may be worth giving it a go and reporting back to us.

Just remember to always carry out and save a 'full scan' prior to making any changes, that way you can always revert back should you need to.

Thank you, I will definitely try and thanks for the backup pointer, I always document each step one by one, just in case ;)

Say, I hate to hijack a thread, but is there any chance you might have some info on this?

Unfortunately that's not something I can help you with, although if I were to find out anything related to your question I will be sure to report back.

Yes, I did this on my Son's 2011 Golf 1.4tsi.

It came with a small digital readout in kmh which is fairly useless to us but I understand they do this as (UK mph) cars supplied in the EU need to have kmh display and the Golf doesn't have a dual scale analogue speedo.

The big numbers are much easier to read though and he can always change the units if he goes to Europe and wants a kmh display.

I tried this on my 2008 Passat 3.6 4motion Wagon, I got to, Coding-07 and didn't see the "Long coding helper" box, just a balloon pop up that listed other regions, but no "country rest of world" and none of the regions in the pop up was clickable anyway.

I would like to have the big digital speedo, is it possible on my car?

The cluster in your car uses old-school, "short" coding.

I'm not sure whether it supports the "big speedometer" or not.
