    2010 AUDI S5 / A5 CABIOLET ROOF RESET ADAPTION

I have replace the luggage blind switch/potentiometer in the LHR of vehicle and the centre rear servo lock for the roof stowage lid lock. all functions, as it should no faults return.
on most other convertibles i have repaired there is a adaption routine that can be run to make sure all the limit switches are correctly aligned. there are functions in output tests, adaption and basic settings, but none react. is there any security entry code, or a sequence that should be followed?

There are no security codes for running output tests. Does the roof open/close?

i will take another look at output tests again tomorrow, pretty sure they were greyed out, which is why i thought there might be a entry code first?

yes just checkedagain on output tests, it only tests selected curcuits, not a full adaption map as you can do on the mk2 TT roof?
adaption looks more promising, but there is no codes or info to support its use that i have found upto now.

    Hi Andy,

This controller shouldn't require a reset after repairs.

Jef has been working on the following recently:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-3Sb7E2NxPM
    and
    http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index...(FH)_Auto_Roof

This is an older thread but relevant to the roof/car type:
    https://forums.ross-tech.com/showthr...op-issue-B11A0

As far as ADP options go it looks like you can turn off production mode (aka Factory mode). BS contains [*IDE00498*] Resetting of all adaptation values .. but that's the nasty group that can create No EOL Programming DTCs in something like a Level Controller module so we always advise against using it when the outcome is unknown.

    A5 cabriolet roof fault resolved

Dana, all the links and information very helpful, thank you, by comparing info, I identified f202 as the main issue, the links supplied suggested a switch below the rear window. It is actually on the joint above the driver on the right hand side, it looks like an inductive switch, the wires inside the adjoining loom had broken because the turn is too tight, and will be a regular failure. I have taken the cable out of the retainer and extended the loop to resolve future fatigue issues. I will add the photo I have taken, when I get back in front of a PC
