Hi,
I've just bought a 2001 Golf VR6 4Motion. It came with a single key and an Audi 3 button remote. According to my VW main dealer it should have a two button remote. Yesaterday a locksmith came out to make a new key for me and programmed a genuine 2 button remote but it wouldn't lock or unlock the boot. In the end he programmed a three button remote with a seperate boot button which does work but it's a real pain because I have to remember to lock the boot seperatly every time.

I'm beginning to think the comfort module may have been replaced at some time but I don't know how to prove this.
Would VCDS be able to help?

Thanks

We would need an autoscan to see what modules are installed on the car. My signature tells you how to do this.
