Best way to get full dump of all adaptations and coding?

I'm taking my new-to-me B9 A4 to the dealer for the first time. I've done some tweaks I'd like to preserve. Is there a way to save all coding and adaptation in a single go? The closest I understand is to do a full scan to capture coding, then controller channel maps of each controller, one at a time, to capture adaptations. Is there a quicker way?

    Thanks!

Auto-Scan with Debug Level (on the Options screen) set to 2.

This can still take a while, so either use a battery charger, or let the engine idle while you do this.

The engineering problems are likely insurmountable. It would be like proposing to land a rocket booster section on a barge floating in the middle of the ocean.

Does entering a Security Code increase the Adaptations seen on a module?

Normally, it does not. Security Access codes should just allow changing of these adaptions.

Please someone correct me if I am totally wrong. My experience is primary based of MQB cars.

I too hope that's how it works, else the Debug 2 option isn't going to capture everything.

It would be nice if this 'feature' were a more explicit within the app, like an 'extended' auto-scan, or some such.

Or make it the default auto-scan, and add a 'quick' auto-scan for times when just the basic details are desired.

I don't see it as a necessary part of normal, routine diagnostics.

Well, it is not so much a part of diagnostics, but of documentation and auditing of all vehicular settings and their state at the time of scan.

    Call it preventive maintenance.

I would have done it the day I got the car before I started tinkering, had I known it was possible. I’m a big fan of backups!

I also had to learn that first.
Primarily on non-MQB cars there exist adaptation channels that are not accessible (for read) without a login.

Nevertheless it became a routine for me to use the known logins for creating adpmaps also on MQB...although it might not be necessary...
