Hmm, please see if SA code 11908 is accepted at all by this controller. If it is rejected do NOT try any other codes (because that will result in lock-time) but if it happens to be accepted ... see if the same coding will copy/paste back in without an error.

OK, I figured that because most (if not all) of the 1K0-907-379-B? (Those are common in 2011+ M.Y. cars and typically use 19 bytes rather than the older 18 byte string) series controllers simply accept copy and paste coding without a SA code. I don't have anything else to suggest at this point in time.

OK. By the way, yesterday I was helping a friend to replace a CAN gateway with a used one and when I recoded that I got the same "out of range" error when two bytes were not matching. There were two bytes that needed to change when installing a gateway from 4 door car to 2 door car... and I first changed only one byte and got the error. When changed the other too, coding was accepted.

So this got me thinking that perhaps I get the error simply because everything just don't match. I just need to figure out coding that'll match with all the correct parts in my car?

Hi,

No, I haven't solved my problem yet. Could you post your complete code before and after so I could double check if it has anything to do with my coding. Those two bytes seem so much different from my byte 04 and 10.

My byte 04 is 49 and in my Golf R it was 09.
My byte 10 is 01, same in Golf R. So far only documented bit has been the last bit which means the brake disc size.

Thanks Richard! Seems it's quite different, mine is 19 bytes long, yours is only 15 bytes.

How did you find the right code? Did you ask some Company to help?

So try to change byte 12 from 92 to 90. I believe I had tried that already, but decided to give it a go again. Still no luck. But definitely that could be one of the key bytes as in Golf R that's 90 for sure.

I'm starting to believe more on my theory that it just won't accept the combination of Scirocco and 4WD. Perhaps I need to code all possible control modules with e.g. Golf coding. Anyone have a list of all ECUs that are connected to powertrain data bus so I can start looking at their coding?

golfi_vend, please don't post/upload files like that which are neither correct, nor complete and will likely result in incorrect coding values. Remember - we are talking about a safety related system here.

Based on the information available to me so far and my understanding of the MK60EC1 coding, what you are trying to achieve cannot be done because something like that was never specified by VW. The MK60EC1 coding highly depends on what characteristics VW put into the module firmware, it isn't as easy as switching between AWD and FWD. The entire combination has to be plausible...

When looking at Golf and Scrocco auto scans they both have same HW SW and revision. Is there really something that internally different?

Talking about the label file, i used information found in Polish made mk60ec1 coding program.

We have this saying: "He who doesn't risk, never gets to drink champagne", everything about this project is experimental, so why not ABS coding?
