MK2 Tiguan for US market uses infrared (?) sensor as a triger to change from day to night mode (or night to day). The sensor is on the middle of the dashboard (not the one by rear mirror). Does anyone know which module or where adjustments can be change to either lowere sensitivity or change timing? Auto headlights are flashing (nave change day to night) each time shadow passes through it. Morning and evening drives through foresty area are very entertaining and annoying especially for oncoming traffic.
I am referring to auto-headlight function not auto high beams assist, just auto turn on and off of main headlights.

It was set to normal and non sensitive was accepted. Can't really tell now it that was car is in garage.
Do you know which sensor module is using?
The is one on the dashboard, which sense light intensity and adjusted back light to the LCD; and gauges and there is second one just at the bottom of the windshield - I think climatologist uses it as well... I though I read it's infrared sensor. Our Tiguans don't have light sensor by the mirror - just humidity not even rain season in SEL. BTW, changing adaptation cleared Personalization settings, not sure if that was expected....the key seas Driver 1, Driver 2 difficults....

The adaption channel should also be changable from the Car setup menu in your HMI. Maybe because of this overlapping personalization settings where cleared?

TBAx, if you referring to sensitivity setting adjustment in the infotainment - seams like US Tiguan SEL doesn't have that adjustment. Actually VW "forgot" how auto headlights works all together, there was a lot of cars which were not coded properly. Light switch in Auto would turn lights permanently and turn Nav screen in night mode - independently to light conditions outside. Dealer visit was required to correct that in J519. Revisiting the thread, "non sensitive" appears not to be the asware for my Tiguan.
I had a chance to drive Tiguan during nice bright day yesterday unders numerous overpasses each time light would turn on and navigation would go into night mode. I ended up turning Auto switch to Off to avoid road rage in front of me :)
Any other ideas?
