Hi Everyone
Bit of a strange one, but we've got a 2017 S5 Sportback that came from Factory without driver side memory seats but it does have full electric seats (Front/back/up/down/ventilation etc).
Now wierdly, whether with VCDS or other tools, no Module 06 (Seat Memory Pass) or 36 (Seat Memory Driver) show up in Autoscans, yet the wiring for the seats is definitely plugged into something under the seat (we haven't physically looked yet)
The S5/A5 2017 is based on the MLBEvo platform like the Q7 4M and if you dont have memory seats ordered from factory on a Q7 4M the modules 06 and 36 still show up in VCDS autoscan so once you have installed the buttons in the door trim, its just a bit of coding to get them working on the door controller and module 06/36 respectively.
We fitted the memory buttons to this 2017 S5, yet ironically can't see Module 36 at all so can't do the final coding needed to make the buttons work, yet memory seats IS an option if you order a new car.
The modules are not ticked in the CAN Installation List, and if we tick them, save it and do a new AutoScan we get:
06-Seat Mem. Pass -- Status: Cannot be reached 0100
36-Seat Mem. Drvr -- Status: Cannot be reached 0100
Looking through the wiring of these cars from Audi documentation it doesn't show any different permutation of wiring if you haven't ordered memory seats, so the wiring for the motors in the seats must be going into a module under the seat, albeit its not showing up in VCDS or other tools including factory dealer tools.
Any thoughts appreciated
Ta
Andy
