    Won't accept new BEM code

    Installed a new battery in my '15 Audi S5, but the BEM code on the new one isn't being accepted. It's an Autocraft AGM and I was surprised to find a BEM sticker on it. The old battery was the original flooded-acid OEM.

    The new code is: 7P0915105D JCB 471018I3RO (2 spaces after part#, 1 space after vendor)

    When I copy/paste the new code and click on test, the old code appears. I realize that a digit change to the old code will suffice to indicate a new battery, but I'd like to know why the module won't accept the new BEM code.

    What is the old code? Is it in the same structure?

    I'm not sure the BEM works the same way in all the models but my coding is 105 VA0 1111111111
    105 Ah
    VA0 = Varta/Bosch
    1111111111 = serial number

    That's in a VW Polo (like a miniature golf) that has the same basic electric platform as a Beetle and a Jetta.

    Old code was 8K0915105F MLA 140620KPG7.

    New code is 7P0915105D JCB 471018I3RO. The part # looked similar to many Audi OEMs with an xxx 915 105 xx format, so I entered 000915105CF JCB 471018I3RO and that worked. 000915105CF is an Audi AGM with 105 Ah, same as the Autocraft AGM that I installed.
