I have read the wiki and a few other posts about this issue and get the general gist of what's been said about it's all in the title, namely mechanical failure! But ...
The problem appears to be intermittent and while stationary (not faulting) and driving we've so far been unable to capture any parameter to give us a clue about which component might be at fault.
We've tried soapy water, and will do again more carefully today, but if the fault is not occuring while stationary then even if it is a leak, then we're unlikely to find it this way?
The module has no label file, or coding options ... so would you like a scan of these? Please email me and I'll generate.
I assume the module is not UDS as option 8 is available, but this info is not stored in the error/log files (would that be a useful addition?) as offline right now.
The car also had an error 01577 High temperature cut out, but that has not come back. Using a different tool which had the menu option to cycle the system, this completed ok, but took a while to "pump up" in the first instance, would this be that the errors (well the 01577) was inhibiting the pump?
Not knowing the strategy of the error and which components are being plausibly verified or otherwise and as we don't have wiring for the sensor or controller, or a factory/other test plan, we're a little in the dark ... so any tips or pointers on these would be helpful ...
