Hi all,
trying to install some Matrix LEDs into my Q7 4M that came from the factory with LED headlights. I have done all the preliminary work:
1. 2 wire bus from A5 camera to J519 (needed just for Matrix headlights)
2. Front level sensor to J393 and coded for 2 level sensors. (required for Matrix headlights on cars with steel springs)
3. Additional earth wire to existing LED headlight plugs (required for Matrix headlights) as per factory wiring diagrams.
I then connected to the matrix headlights to the headlight plugs and updated the coding for Matrix headlights with what I know and checked for errors:
J393 - 2 level sensors
1. Byte17 Bits 0-1: 03: Front and Rear (LED headlights only come with a sensor on rear axle). No errors on J393
Coding J519:
1. Byte 4 bit 5: turn off high-beam function (only enabled for bi-xenon or LED headlights)
2. Byte 5 bits 5-7: change to "20:Matrix Beam" from "60:Head_light_assist"
3. Byte 30 bit 1-3: 0A: raw_chassis_values_bcm2_1FNS to 0C: raw_chassis_values_bcm2_2FNS (still don't know whether this is needed but results in calibration for headlights on J519)
4. Byte 34 bit0-1: 02 - Variant2 (mine for LED = 01 Variant1 all other Matrix cars have this set to 02)
Coding A5:
Byte21 Bits5-7: 80 Matrix Beam (from 20: High_Beam_Assist)
