UK discover media - Tmc help

Just ironing out the creases now. Retrofitted the unit all ok, but I do not get anything on traffic, just a line through the Tmc icon. Does anyone have an adaption map from a working unit in the UK, or know what needs changing to make it work?

    Hi

Can you please post an autoscan first and then let us know what vehicle you retrofitted what into. Your post is a little vague

Letís do this a different way, does anyone at Ross tech have an adaption map for a 5C0035680B, from a UK vehicle, so I can compare adaption channels relating to TMC?

An Auto-Scan would still be helpful, so we know which adaptation map is relevant to the modules fitted to your car.

I can do, but as the 5F unit isnít installed or available on my gateway, the unit has to be access directly, which is why I included my part number

^^^ the "standard" technique for enabling TMC is to enter the correct code into the channel IDE05111-Fee-based traffic information (TMC) in the hex5F module.

Here are the codes that I'm aware-of for various TMC systems:
    65535 - TMC OFF
    1024 - SUNA Traffic (Intelematics)
    0 - dev options
32771 online traffic + VW TMCPro

I'm not sure which system UK uses, but if it's the same data transmission mechanism as in Australia (i.e. a harmonic frequency on an FM band radio station via mobile data transmission),then you will need to ensure that RDS is activated in the code-string of the hex5F module as per the screen-shot below (enable bit 1 & bit 3):

After this, "TP" and "RDS" need to be activated in the set-up menu for the radio

Mine was set to 32768 when I checked. 1024 didnít bring any results. I will check these coding options and report back. Gut feeling is itís going to be a code that nobody has listed so far, but I can try all of the above. Many thanks.

On my UK based Skoda Octavia the value in this channel is 1023.
